About Me

My name is Wanheng Li (李宛珩), a Library and Information Science master’s student at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign.

Originally from China, I ventured to the United States to pursue my education at the University of Kansas, where I completed a double major in psychology and Japanese. I participated in both social and clinical psychology research at my university and worked as a crisis and suicide counselor post-graduation. These experiences, along with my coursework, helped me realize that my interests are broader than any single subfields of psychology. Thus, my goal for the next two years is to equip myself with a set of foundational skills that are broadly applicable across fields. By earning a master’s degree in Library and Information Science, I want to hone my ability to search, select, organize, analyze, and share information, to help me explore new career paths in the long term.

In my free time, I’m obsessed with mini-games such as spider’s solitaire, mine sweeping, and sudoku. I also love traveling and editing travel videos.
